Holding Setu Bhandasana
Introduction to PranaTantra-Reiki ® Trainings by Audrey Pearson
The principles of the tantras,
involve mantras, meditation, yoga, and ritual. Tan.trism is a mystical philosophy,
dating from the 6th to the 13th centuries. Tan.trism teaches of the changing,
visible world as the creative dance or play of the Divine Mother. Enlightenment
in this tradition is regarded as the realization of the essential oneness of
one’s self and of the visible world, with the Godhead held within the natural
polarities of life, for example Shiva and Shakti.
Examples of Tan.trism teachings are
also found in the Budhist tradition. We see this influence in the Practice of
Reiki. The polarity held with consciousness and life energy.
To live a life of acceptance of all
that is as is, is to practice prana tantra.
The practice requires doing nothing while being present with everything,
in acceptance of all that is, as is, a state of surrender to the innate
divinity. The state of surrender is one of choiceless awareness. It is a state
of acceptance of all that is, as is.
All human beings are endowed with
an innate divinity. That divinity is accessed by being unconditionally present
with all that is as. The manifest Presence
is revealed only when we are unconditionally present.
Presence is the divine core of our
being present. You can either accept reality as it presents or you can choose
to deny it.
Audrey & James Pearson teach a program called
PranaTantra-Reiki® dedicated to the practice of Prana Tantra
through the Reiki Methodology without trading the Usui
method. This training revolutionizes what we currently
know to be Reiki. It infuses each level of Reiki training
with the ancient sacred knowledge from the great
mystics who understood the relationship between Consciousness
and Life Force energy, shiva and Shakti.
The
following is an except from Audrey's writings 2009 on "Understanding
PranaTantra"
Reiki
is a tantric practice whereby you discover the power within you. There is no
social conditioning or personal and cultural standards of good or bad when you
practice tantra. Tantra is where you accept all realities as they are.
For
most of our life, we resisted the reality in front of us, choosing instead
behaviors that served to protect our reactionary self images. We all have two
operating manifestations, psychological and biological, and both are in
perpetual conflict. The psychological is the pleasure seeking zone, this is
where we become victims of pain, emotional hurt, fear and control issues. The
biological is in harmony with the polarity of pleasure and pain and is
therefore in a healthy state of body harmony. The psychological is spirit
manifesting externally, and while it is important as a vehicle to discover the
presence of the divine within, it says “I want more” and it drives us to stress
demands and addictions to seeking pleasure. Examples of this are addiction to
seeking pleasure through sex, food, drugs, etc.
Addictions
capture vital life force and we become consumed by unconscious forces where
nothing is ever ‘good enough’. Survival of the self image then takes over your
prana and you depend on your ego’s past pre-programming and reactions to
cultural standards and conditioning to maintain your egoic self image. This is
the underlying cause of all disease.
When
we arrive at the knowing that protecting a false self no longer provides the
relaxation we seek, we are ready to enter the PranaTantra state of being Reiki.
An enlightened state of being where the enlightened person is the
Master/Mistress of her/his own destiny.
